Template Apps - Major Updates Shipped

Hello!

We’ve completed a round of significant updates to our 119 template apps to bring them in line with the current Next-Gen platform updates. Here’s a summary of what’s changed:

  • Multi-Timezone Support - Template apps now have multi-timezone support enabled by default - dates and times always show in the timezone of the end user :mantelpiece_clock:
  • System Fields (Timestamp & Userstamp) - Template apps now include more system fields: Created On, Updated On, Created By, and Owned By. This gives builders audit trails and field defaults that match what a new Next-Gen app includes out of the box. :person_cartwheeling:
  • Data Access Control - Templates now have access_control enabled, so apps start from a secure-by-default posture. Set this up in the All Accounts table. :locked_with_key:
  • Login Page Structure - New Parent Page Support - We didn’t change any existing login page structures, but we now have the ability to add a new parent page under an existing login page, unlocking better page hierarchy options and reducing page sprawl. :page_facing_up:
