Lookups. I would like a field where it can get its value from a joined tables field, an example is you join a ticket to a client and when you choose the client from the select you can populate other fields with details such as phone number, email address, e.t.c.

With a choice in the admin part of the field to either grab and store the value in the joined table or to just lookup the value on each view load.

Hi,

Yes you can for details and most likely edit but not add, if you could set connected fields values on add it would be done, mix it with the request for read-only fields and it then works as it should by adding something and selecting the company the phone, email, e.t.c. would be populated.

You can do this by creating your table and connecting it then editing the form

In the dropdown chose [ITEM] connected to this form's [OTHER ITEM]

Come on guys. We need this so badly. PLEASE make it happen. It would make Knack so much more powerful. Other competing applications like Ragic has this and makes it so simple. I'm so vested in Knack I can;t switch,

Hi there, I agree with Daniel. This lookup feature is really necessary, specially when you need to retrieve specific data to perform calculations. However I've seen a green tag on top of this discussion saying "implemented". I can't find anything similar on the builder, do you have any documentation? Can you tell me where I can find it?

Hi,

Not exactly, what you can do on a form details is show the related field but not on add or edit views, so i have say a helpdesk ticket so an add form and i choose the company i want the company tel, company web fill the empty fields next to the compnay option, this currently cannot be done in add or edit views.
