Knack unable to save javascript/css changes

I am trying to update the custom javascript on our application and the changes are not being reflected or even saved to Knack. When I click save and refresh the tab, the code disappears and my changes are not reflected on the app. This is also the case for the css.

Anyone else having this issue? Could this be because someone else has the custom javascript tab open and it’s preventing me from saving my changes?

I haven’t experienced that exact issue, but here are a few things to try:

  • Make sure no other builder tabs are open when editing JS/CSS.
  • Try clearing your browser cache or using an incognito window.
  • Check for browser extensions that might interfere.
  • See if very small test changes save (to rule out syntax or size issues).
  • Watch the Network tab in Dev Tools when you hit save—any failed requests?

Definitely report it to Knack support too, as it might be a session or backend glitch.

Just a thought … check that your account hasn’t been set up for next gen builder. If it has use links at top of Builder to switch back to Classic. I don’t think the Builder works with javascript yet in next gen mode.

@LeighBerre96926 - Correct, the CSS and JavaScript section is not yet available in Next Gen.
