Knack Connector for Power Query (Excel/Power BI)

I’ve just finished building a Knack connector for Power Query (Excel or Power BI).

It effortlessly retrieves all records (with pagination) from any grid/list view within your Knack app, and auto expands/renames columns so you don’t have to.

If this is something that interests you, feel free to reach out to me for access to the installation instructions and function code.

You can also read my Substack post on how to set up a basic query from scratch.

Hi Stephen,
very interested in this! Does your connector also do pagination to retrieve more than 1000 records?

Hi @Stefan, yes, it will grab all available records in your specified view, even if it’s more than 1,000.
Important to note that the more records or fields you want to export, the slower the query.

Happy to discuss further via direct message if you’re interested!

Would be interested in using the connector.

Oh. I remember seeing your original post (maybe on Sub-Stack or on your your website.)
This is cool.
I’m interested in trying it out.

Hi @StephenChapman

I am interested in this how would I go about getting the instructions?

Hi @CSWinnall, I’ve just direct messaged you now.

Hi Stephen

This is just for a personal project at the moment. I’m trying to learn more about it. If I ever start to develop with it I may come back to you. I didn’t even know you could write your own power query until I saw your video.

Thanks
Craig
