Field connected to another table

Okay, so we have created a sale CRM which contains a number of tables.

Companies, Contacts, and Notes. These tables are all linked, but what I am wanting to do is create a last contacted field within the companies table which populates with the date of the last added note in the notes table.

Struggling on how to go about this though so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there Neal,

This is a very similar thing to what I am trying to achieve. What I have tried to do is within the form submission for the notes, each time a note is submitted it should update the connected table record 'last contacted' with the 'date added' date however it does not seem to be playing ball!
