Hello Everyone, I am Emmanuel Katto from Uganda. I’m using Knack to track progress on a construction project, and I’m having trouble finding a way to create a custom data field that will allow me to track the current stage of each task. I have multiple projects with different stages, and I need to be able to quickly see which tasks are in progress and which are complete.

I’ve tried creating a custom field using the “Text” type, but I’m not sure how to use it to track progress. For example, I want to be able to enter “Design”, “Construction”, or “Complete” as the status of each task, but I’m not sure how to create a dropdown menu or radio buttons to make it easy for my team to select from.

Can anyone tell me how to create a custom data field that allows me to track progress in this way? Are there any specific plugins or add-ons that can help with this?

Hi @emmanuelkatto

I would use a multiple choice field which you can find when you add a field:

Then you can decide if you want it as a dropdown or radio buttons in the field settings:
