I decided to take a leaf out of Carl’s book and start posting on YouTube more this year, so here’s my first video in a while!
When dealing with uploading files into your Knack app, the biggest pain points are long wait times for large uploads, and staying within your plan’s storage limits.
This solution automatically compresses images uploaded to file or image fields when they exceed a specified size. The result is faster uploads and reduced storage usage, which is ideal for cases where high-resolution images aren’t necessary (e.g. photos of receipts that don’t need to be 5MB).
Knack does have a resize image setting on image fields, but this is not available on file fields, and still takes a bit of time to process.
PS: It works for both Classic and Next-Gen
