I have a progress monitoring system for our students and I would like to simplify my input form. I want to create a field that says what subject area do you teach for this student and when they choose their subject, the progress monitoring fields open for that subject or get hidden for all other subjects. Once the teacher finishes updating that particular student and clicks submit, I want to that subject field to revert back to blank or some choice that is not subject related so that each teacher that edits that particular record always sees the default option and the default fields. Dan: I like to help you with this. Although, I’ll need more information. What tables and fields do you have connected to the subject table? It could be that you can use some display rules and record rules to make this happen, if it is what I am thinking you want it to do. Here to help.
Thank you so much for your response. I was able to build the field and then use record rules to make sure the choice in that field does not stick. Now I am just working on the conditions so they do not interfere with each other. Thank you again for the response!
