It would be helpful to include COUNT as an option for a table row summary. The count could update based upon the number of records actually displayed in the table.
this should be included in the grouping process as well - e.g. the sales sold $1,000 worth of widgets but no way to show how many

A related request would be to allow different types of summaries for different types of columns. You could easily have a table where sum makes sense for one column, max/min/avg makes more sense for another column, and count makes more sense for, say, a non-numeric column.
Agreed - this is kind of a glaring omission.
Seems so simple, I sure hate telling our program manager they have to manually count the number of lines in a table!
