I have 2 users, manager and sales. how do I get to be able to display data based on the data records inputted by each user? because when I create a user and try it out, managers and sales can see the data together.

Either use page rules, or, when creating a new view, you are asked what records that view is going to show, there you can select only records that where created / modified by logged in user.
