Schema Limit and Shared Database (including users credentials) Between two or more Apps

Hi Guys,

I know we already have some topics about this matter (Share Database tables between APPS - #61 by JohnKaras), but I wasn’t able to reply on it.

I have being using knack for many years and I love it. However, more and more I’m struggling with app schema limit, having to delete many usefull views, pages and fields to be able to create new features on my app.

Sharing database and users authentication will solve this problem, but it’s being more than a year this feature was considered by developers and we did not receive any update.

I would like to know if someone have any updates on this as this feature will provide future proof at least for my application.

I just want to highlight I like very much Knack and I hope this feature is implementated as soon as possible.

Best,

GB

Hi @Guilherme,

Thank you for your patience, and apologies for the late reply! We’re excited to share that the app schema limit changes are still on track to be launched sometime in Q4 2024. As for the shared database tables across apps, while this feature won’t be available by the end of this year, we’re actively discussing plans to implement it in 2025.

If you’re interested in hearing more about both features, I highly recommend tuning into tomorrow’s webinar! We’ll be covering both of these updates in more detail. You can register for the webinar here.

Thanks again for your understanding and for being an engaged member of the Knack community!

Hi @Les , that’s a great news! The increase of schema limit will help while the shared database is not released.
