Is anyone else experiencing extremely slow load times in the builder when access Record History?
When selecting a record, the response time is in the multiple minutes. Navigating to an additional Record History page, also several minutes.
This function worked up until a few months ago and now the feature is barely useable. I recall in the last quarterly meeting that adding Record History to the front end of apps was coming, perhaps this is leading to the issue, but I have not heard any updates on the roadmap items slated for completion this quarter.
Hi @RyanL - I very infrequently use the history on any of mine or client apps. But I took a look at a few of them tonight. Most records only have a history of 10 or 20 lines but the history “popped up” immediately. There was also no lag between switching records
Possibly your records have more line items in the history. I can only imagine that if you have 100’s of history line items that’s why it may be taking longer to load.
To be honest, if it’s taking minutes I’d ask support to take a look.
Hi @RyanL, I have also noticed that the record history is buggy lately. The issue I have been having is that sometimes it doesn’t load at all. What I’ve found helps is one or both of the below:
Do a hard refresh of your browser by pressing Ctrl+F5 on Windows or Command+Shift+R on Mac
I too have seen this. I even opened a ticket about the issue and when they checked, somehow the data was there, but when I looked at a bunch of tables prior to opening the ticket, it definitely didn’t load.
My site has also generally been slower, but that’s a completely other issue.
I’m not sure about record history, but I have always experienced extremely slow load times when trying to access Task history. This can be multiple minutes regardless of the length of history. It seems like it should be really easy to put the “Last Run” date and time next to the task in the task list rather than forcing us to open the task and click on the history. I understand if you want to look back at the history over time, but the most recent run should be shown on the list. I’ve submitted this as a feature request a long time ago but never heard anything after that.
