Agreed, @MichaelG, on both your points above. I have been using ChatGPT with considerable success; it appears to have a strong understanding of Knack. When you provide it with a scene or view along with a natural language question, it often generates a snippet of code that I can easily copy and paste.
I have just seen this - less than 24 hours before implementation.
We have a knack site that is a public safety app, checking people have returned at a set point in time. Tasks run every hour and at peak times 30mins - to check for overdue people.
This is literally a potential to be life and death situation, and I have 4 hours to totally rebuild the site, try make and flow for the first time.
I am sick to death with knack - typical new owners - focus development on new money making features and drive every aspect you can to save money, and force customers with almost no notice to pay 10x more.
None of features waiting years have been done… just the new ones which will result in more cash or less spend. typical asset stripping.
promises never kept for new features.
anyone got any recommendations for a better low code platform that is comparible.
Hey @andrew.uk, I’m not sure if you saw, but the team back-pedalled on 10 active tasks per app, and are only going ahead with 10 runs per day per task. Because there is no ‘hourly’ task schedule, this should not impact you, assuming that you have individual tasks set up per hour per day.
hi @StephenChapman cheers for that - I hadn’t spotted that - but I was struggling to know how you can run a task multiple times, as you can only auto execute once - so presumed the two were linked. thanks for clarification, or are ppl triggering tasks via API etc.
