Anyone have any crafty ideas on how to create a display setting to trigger on data from another page?
I have information coming in from another page. When I go to change the display options, I only have the options to select from the page the data is nestled onto.
Hi Steven,
Copy the view with the ātrigger dataā to the page with the page rules, then have a page rule to show / hide what you want base on the trigger data, and another rule that hides the trigger data view view in any circumstance (e.g. Title is not blank).
Hope that makes sense / answers the question!

Hey Hugo, thank you for the reply. Iām a little lost in what you mean.
Iām mainly trying to change the background color to signal either red or green based on quantity of inventory from another page. Essentially a visual āneeds to be orderedā reminder based on color.
The data is as follows:
Pg 1: Inventory page: When units in stock is lower than quantity required. Trigger highlight background red.
Pg 2: The status words are changing correctly based on pg 2ās āstatusā conditional rules but it doesnāt allow us to mess with colors on this page to push to a connected page.
The issue is we donāt have the ability to change colors of backgrounds of data coming from connected pages. We have a complex inventory that runs through a compatibility set and needs to be calculated on a different page due to compatibility requirements.
Bit challenging to visualise your setup, but you might try to pull through the fields with text formulas so you can set display rules.
Hi Steve,
happy to help on a quick call if you like? I think we may get even more lost trying to describe with just text but may be able to easily solve on a screenshare! DM me if that sounds good (hugo@5hc.co.uk).
Cheers
