Counting Unique Records in a Table

I am looking for help with counting unique records in a table.

Context: I work with an organization that delivers boxes of food to community members. I have a PARTICIPANTS table set up with names and demographic information for all the participants in the program, and SERVICES RECEIVED table set up where I record the participants name and date when a participant picks up a box of food.

We can quickly see how many boxes of food are picked up by count of the records in the SERVICES RECEIVED table. However, because participants pick up boxes multiple times over the year, I am looking for a way to count the total number of unique individuals who have received one or more food boxes over the course of the year.

I tried setting up a count formula in the PARTICIPANTS table, thinking I could count the number of times a participants unique KNACK ID appears in the SERVICES RECEIVED Table, and then create a conditional formula in the PARTICIPANTS Table, returning a value of 1 for the field that counts number of times the KNACK ID appears for each record in the PARTICIPANTS Table. But wasn’t able to get it to work.

Any help with this?

Jacob

Hi @Jacob1 I have a few different ideas that might get you this info. Do you mind if I take a look in your app?

Cheers,
