I confess I am a retiree mucking around with a consumer app idea for managing home documentation, but I am hoping to have sold another quite simple app to a professional association, and have done a couple of 'for fun' apps, so learning a bit as I go.
At the moment I am trying to figure out ways to interface with external documents using alternatives to Knack - specifically Zapier.

Hi Matt,
Currently using Knack for a few different apps in my company:
- Contractor management tool; we schedule jobs, add building plans, and allocate contractors, who view their allocated jobs, conduct risk assessments, and sign off on work through the app.
- Customer take-off request portal - customers submits request for construction take-off, with attached elevations/floor plans, and our estimators conduct and re-upload marked plans, and bill of quantities.
- Systems search tool - customers search our database of systems/applications that meet their technical requirements to see all associated technical reports, and specs.
- Case management - any issues raised by customers are entered into this portal, actions and communication is logged, and the case is closed.
