New event on Calendar

I have created a form to create a new event on the calendar. Form input has unit (connection - many to many)and attendees as inputs along with other inputs. Unit is not a required field . If left blank, form takes the first item as the field value automatically. I did not set defaults anywhere.
How can I prevent my form to default to a value ?

Hi Monika,

Thanks for sharing! If you head to the Data section of your Builder and open to edit the Unit many-to-many connection field, for the default value, does it have “First Option” selected? I know that you shared you did not set defaults anywhere, but many times we’ve had customers not notice this option in the field settings.

Hi Lesley,

Thank you for responding. I checked this and did not have any defaults. I have a rule to check blank unit and this works fine with Edit event form. Issue is with new event form on the calendar, which does not have options to set any rules. Here are my screenshots.

Thank you for providing the additional details! The only thing I can share here is that the conditional rule you have applied to the Unit field will also affect any records that are added to the table from the add event form as well. However, that does not explain why some of your records have the first option as a field value for Unit.

If you haven’t already, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team for further assistance. They will be happy to help by taking a look at your app directly to troubleshoot the issue.

Have a great day!

Thanks Les. I need the rule in place as I need to add people based on the condition.

I will open a ticket with support team.
