How do you get 2 fields on one line in a form?

Although the thread is not specifically related to your question you can see that you simply drag the fields until you get a vertical insertion line.

I saw there was a post on how to add the SUBMIT button to the top of the ADD and EDIT forms.
Can you point me to it please.
