Does anyone have knowledge on how to create forms with more than 3 columns? This a major UX limitation. There is no much wasted space. Standard web design is typically a 12 column layout, 3 is just silly.
Is the new builder going to accommodate this? Or is there some CSS anyone has used to accomplish this?
Alas I fear not at this point.
I dream of the day the builder has a form designer like MS-ACCESS where field positioning (and ORDERING) with all the nice formatting features are available.
What we have now is somewhat archaic and very basic in appearance.
On saying that though, on looking for database alternatives online, it would seem we are almost leaps and bounds ahead of the pack in terms of useability.
The majority of products are like spreadsheets which is useless from an end user perspective.
Knack does give us a lot of ability to work around in presentation which is great.
BUT at the end of the day the limited control over the display such as 3 columns and the enormous amount of space that gets wasted when combining detail views, grids and edit forms requires a lot of work to massage it into something useable.
