Exporting as a PDF/Word file

Hi,

Can anyone help me with this function please?

On a list (detail) view of a record, I want to export / publish that particular record to a PDF/Word document and download it. 

How can we do it?

Please let me know if you have any idea, may be an alternative way.

I will say that the easiest way is to have a view of that record and then print it (Save as PDF).
