When setting data filters it would be useful if you could access the FROM and TO elements in a calendar related date field.
It would also be useful if in addition to the usual filter options for dates there could be one to validate whether TODAY is within the scope of a FROM and TO date.
Even better would be the ability to use TODAY as a system variable in any filtering or equations relating to dates.
For example, I'm creating a HR application and employees have holidays with a FROM and TO date. I want my app to have a 'dashboard' so that the HR manager can see at a glance who is absent TODAY.
