Dynamic Linked Filters in Knack Using KTL

I’ve just uploaded a new video tutorial on setting up Linked Filters in Knack. This powerful feature allows you to dynamically link multiple views—such as charts, grids, and more—on any page. Whether you’re working on a dashboard or another part of your app, linked filters ensure that filters applied to one view automatically update others in real-time.

In the video, I demonstrate how to use the Knack Toolkit Library (KTL), an open-source tool created by @NormandDefayette_CortexRD, the CEO of Cortex R&D. KTL is free and easy to implement, I’ve made several tutorials on my chanel to help you get started if you’re new to it.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Setting up linked filters for charts, grids, and other views.
  • Choosing between view names or view numbers to control the linking.
  • Adding sticky table headers for a better user experience in grid views.

Linked filters can be applied to any page in your Knack app—even without enabling the filter option—making it easier for users to interact with and explore data without needing separate filters for each view. This setup enhances functionality and keeps your app efficient and intuitive

If you have any questions or need clarification, feel free to reach out! I’m always happy to hear your ideas for future tutorials. Let’s continue sharing knowledge and spreading the Knack goodness.

Happy Building!
