I need a button in grid view for user to click on a certain RFQ / Proposal and then it will duplicate the RFQ / Proposal with all information, but ideally it will leave out the customer, because it is for a new customer (User could change that as first step before saving the new record).
I have tried Zapier and Make (Make could never see the button on the page I had the dupe button, kept suggesting multiple child pages), then Grok suggested Pipedream.
Cant get any of them to work. I never would have thought this would be a bid deal, since it was native to QuickBase. Very frustrated with this part on Knack. Hopefully someone has some suggestions.
Only thing that might work is giving all salespeople the bulk copy role and then create a huge (wide grid) that has all of the connected children and let them dupe. Any better suggestion.
If you’re only needing to copy just 1 record’s details at a time couldn’t you simply use an Action Link like we use if we just want to copy just 1 record rather than using KTL’s Bulk Copy feature?
Hi @kylemcafee - as mentioned on our Zoom call on Monday, connecting the table to itself allows you to easily “insert a connected” record into the same table by mapping the fields as shown by my good friend @CSWinnall
