Is knack still repairing issues in CLASSIC and adding features that have been requested for the last 10 years or are they throwing everything into Next-Gen ?
Classic is unlikely to get any new features, as it’s a very legacy codebase and next gen is a ground-up rewrite. Knack did roll out an update to classic frontend a couple weeks ago, improving some accessibility but not much else.

Thank you but no, just improvements that have been requested for quite a number of years.
I came across a ridiculous thing in search views for example.
They add another select option to dropdown mutiple option fields such that when you click on the dropdown you get the standard Select that everyone sees and expects on a dropdown but you get a seocnd one immediately below it ! Doesn’t happen on forms only on search views and there is no way around it. The knavi answer is yes understand its silly but thats the way it works answer doesn’t cut it in my opinion.
Knack is the only database with a front end for designing workable user interfaces that I have found. I have non computer people that needed such a front end for a widely spread and diverse experience community of researchers and lately the public. I have over the years developed work arounds for many things but some just cannot be compensated for.
If anything KNACK should be keeping both products and staying the course with both, and I believe many would agree. I don’t have that much code associated with my system but custom css handling is huge to me.
A suggestion I think they should offer everyone a free extension to convert their existing system to next gen for testing and evaluation of what might fail in the next-gen implementation. To expect the classic users to click a button and essentially change without any chance of seeing that everything is still functional, adjust layouts etc is unworkable.

Just because Knack are no longer developing new UI features in Classic doesn’t mean they won’t attend to bugs like the above. I suggest logging a ticket with support@knack.com about this.

I have lodged a support ticket but don;t hold my hope for resolution
