Ability to Use Ratings Fields in Formulas

As a builder of an HR system, I want to use ratings fields in calculations so that I can perform analysis across an entire organisation.

For example employees might be asked to use a rating field to assess their likelihood of achieving a KPI. Being able to use those ratings in a calculation field would be useful to show the risk level of the organisation’s KPI not being met.

Ratings are a handy tool for information collection, but it seems that once that information is collected, there are very limited ways of doing any analysis on that information.
