I went to the Guides & Help Docs section and only see videos and posts for specific topics, it seems. Is there a Knack Full Guide in a pdf format or something like that, that contains everything you need to know about Knack? I’m afraid if not I will be posting a lot of questions here, which I prefer not to. Sorry I’m a bit old school.
Hi @Danny2 - Knack doesn’t currently offer a single all-in-one resource. Their official documentation is spread across topic-specific help articles and videos, which can feel a bit piecemeal if you’re used to more structured learning materials.
That said, it’s important to remember that Knack is a powerful and complex platform—somewhat akin to a modern version of Microsoft Access. And as you’ll know, guides for Access were often extensive (I remember working through quite a few of them myself back in the 1990s!). So it’s understandable that a platform like Knack would require a similarly deep learning curve, even if that content isn’t yet packaged into a single volume.
In the meantime, here are a few approaches that might help:
Start with the official resources at learn.knack.com. The “Getting Started” and “Builder Guide” sections are a good foundation. I’ve found it helpful to save key pages as PDFs or bookmarks to create my own quick-reference system.
Community knowledge is incredibly valuable and there are many people here that are able to help.
I built a simple beginners guide series of videos about a year ago which may help kickstart the curve.
My friend and colleague @DaveParrish also has a collection of videos, albeit, like mine, not a definitive step by step instructional series.
Carl, thanks for the resources. I did watch a couple of the youtube videos, you’re a really good teacher!
