I am currently playing catch-up on the “New Gen” version.

Am I right in thinking that I can’t use the system fields if the app was created before November 2025?

If this is correct, has anyone found a way around this?

That is correct, only record ID is available. We are actively working on making system fields available to apps created before November 2025.

Native system fields like ‘Date Created’ or ‘Last Updated’ are essential for any audit trail. Relying on custom date fields often leads to gaps if a user forgets to fill them out or if an automation fails. If you can pull these directly into your views, it makes the data much more reliable for reporting. It is much cleaner to use the built-in metadata than to build a complex workaround for basic tracking.
