# Permalinks

Would be cool if we could create a permalink for a view/record.

Hi Eric -   
Can you elaborate a bit on what you need here? Each record has a unique ID which is accessible in the URL in the Live App or through the [inspector in the Builder](https://www.knack.com/developer-documentation/#finding-record-ids).

Views have a unique "view\_number" which can be seen in the URL when you're in the Builder. We have that detailed out in our "[Finding scene and view keys](https://www.knack.com/developer-documentation/#view-based-requests)" in our developer documentation.
