# How to switch 'First Name' and 'Last Name' order on a sign up page

Is there a way to switch the order of the ‘First Name’ and ‘Last Name’ fields on the sign up / registration page? I need ‘Last Name’ to come first.

Also, is it possible to add additional custom fields to the sign up page? For example, phone number or middle name?

Hi @DavidK, in a similar structure to your [previous post](https://forums.knack.com/t/can-you-change-knack-next-gen-hard-coded-text-using-javascript/20548), you can target the inputs and move the last name input before the first when the view renders.

```auto
Knack.ready().then(async () => {

  Knack.on('view:render', async ({ viewKey }) => {

    const nameFieldKey = 'field_1';
    const first = document.querySelector(`.kn-input.${nameFieldKey} > .flex > .flex-col:first-child`);
    const last = document.querySelector(`.kn-input.${nameFieldKey} > .flex > .flex-col:nth-child(2)`);
    if (first && last) first.before(last);

  });

});

```

Regarding adding additional fields to the sign up page, navigate to the login page in the page tree and click on the Sign up link in the preview window.

When you’re there, click Data Display on the right hand panel, and you can drag in any field within the Accounts table into your Sign up form.
