🚀 Hello!

Over the past two weeks, we’ve introduced new **Next-Gen scheduling controls** that give you more control over which appointment resources are available for each appointment type, and we want to make sure our Early Access adopters are able to take advantage of them! ✨

With this functionality, you can select appointment types directly on each resource record. For example, you can assign only the appointment types a specific provider offers, or leave a resource unassigned to make it unavailable for booking.

The Appointment Booker then uses those assignments to show only the appropriate resources for the selected appointment type. For apps where a logged-in user is connected to a bookable resource, the Appointment Booker can also automatically limit available options to that user’s connected resource—without requiring additional filter configuration.

For example, if your bookable resources are doctors, and patients are connected to specific doctors, a patient who logs in can see only their connected doctors. Doctors who do not offer a selected appointment type will not appear as booking options.

The feature includes:

- An automatically created **Appointment Types** connection field on the Bookable Resources table.

- Default assignment of all appointment resources to all appointment types.

- The ability to add or remove appointment types from individual resources at any time.

- The ability to make a resource unavailable by removing all appointment-type assignments.

- Automatic resource scoping in the Appointment Booker when the logged-in user is connected to a bookable resource.

**To check if your app has these features, open your bookable resources table(s) and look for a field called Appointment Types.**
If you don’t see it, and would like to enable this functionality for your app, send me an email with:

- Your app name(s) and app ID(s)

- The name and object ID of the table(s) that contains your bookable resources

We’ll update your app to support the new scheduling controls.

Cheers!

Kara
