Although there are workarounds involving Text Formulas and the excellent text-based "formatDate" function, it would be really helpful if there was a function that could be used in Equations which would create a native date from date components.

Excel has this function, with syntax "DATE (year, month, day)".

I primarily want this to calculate the first day of the month without resorting to text formulas, but I think it would be relatively simple to implement and a useful generic date function.
