# Convert a number to minutes

Hi All,

This has probably been asked already but I cannot find it, so thought I would ask.

I have s start time for an appointment {APPT START TIME} and I ask the user what they think the duration will be {ESTIMATED DURATION MINUTES}.

APPT START TIME = 8:30

EST DURATION HOURS = 1

EST DURATION TIME = 45 (as in 45 min)

Q1. How do I add 45 minutes to the start time of 8:30? Or perhaps there is another way.

Q2. Most of the time, hours will be zero (0) as most appointments will be less than an hour, but how would I convert the 1 (1 hour) to 60 minutes and then add it to the equations above?
