# Ability to show or hide fields on filters

There is no option to select which fields of an object to be displayed on filters.  
That would be great as certain fields are used specifically for calculations and shouldn't be displayed to the users as it may be confusing or misleading.

Hello,

Hoping this feature can be implemented, as I’m trying to give my Users the ability to create their own Graphs and Pie-Charts using multiple filters and I don’t necessarily want every field in my database (many of which are internal use fields e.g IDs, Notes etc), from being displayed as fields that can be filtered on.

Additionally, dependent on access-levels, I’d like the ability to define what fields can be filtered on, in a similar way that when you display tables you can define which fields are displayed and therefore able to control what filters appear.

Hope this makes sense. Happy to demonstrate my use case if asked to do so.
